A screened twin cable is provided with extruded plastic insulation 3 having longitudinal ribs along its two larger sides, the screen 4 resting on the apices of the ribs so as to be maintained at the required distance from the conductors 1, 2. The apices of the ribs may be equally spaced from the plane containing the conductors, or those of the central ribs may be further from said plane than those of the lateral ribs. The characteristic impedance of the cable may be varied by removing a portion of the screen.
