Abstract

729,185. Centrifugal governors. PORSCHE. F., and ALLGATER WERKZEUGBAU GES, April 16, 1953 [May 15, 1952], No. 10463/53. Class 57. A governor,5 is mounted on a toothed wheel 2 secured to the crank-shaft 1 of an internalcombustion engine and arranged to drive auxiliary mechanisms, such as cam-shaft or lighting dynamo. The governor comprises a single weight pivotally mounted in a bearing 4 and is arranged to operate a control rod 8 through a pin 11 which is coaxial with the crank-shaft and slidably mounted in a bracket 9. A bolt 13 having a point 12 forms a lowfriction pivot with a recess 16 in the rod 8 which is held in place by a resilient clamp 17 and guided laterally between bars 18 in the crank-case.
