[Also in Groups V and XXXIV] An article such as a conveyer belt is reinforced with a metal cord fabric in which the elementary wires of the cords are of a diameter of not less than 0.2 mm. and the reinforcement comprises at least two superposed layers of metal cord fabric separated by an intervening layer of uniform thickness composed of a rubbery mixture having a relatively low tangential modulus of elasticity at shear, the intervening layer firmly anchoring the layers of metal cord fabric on either side of it to one another.
