Filling elements for gas-liquid contacting towers are substantially saddle-shaped, Fig. 2 being a side view of half Fig. 3. They. have the form of a segment of the inner half of a moderately thin walled torus. The corners and edges may be rounded and one longitudinal rib 10 and three transverse ribs 11, 12 may be provided.
