Abstract

722,905. Time switches. NEWBERY, S., and NEWBERY, Ltd., S. Feb. 2, 1953 [Nov. 1, 1951], No. 22832/51. Class 38 (5). The variable drive ratio gear box interposed between the co-axial sprockets 3, 8 of the switch disclosed in Specification 722,902 comprises a box 22 of the type used on pedal bicycles and controlled by a chain 23 connected to a finger lever 25, Fig. 3 (not shown) to give four different times of traverse of the contact members 10 over the wiping zone, viz., 60, 52, 48 or 40 minutes. A constant speed electric motor 6 drives the sprocket 8 through a reduction gear 15, sprocket 7 and chain 9, the members 10 being carried by a chain 2 driven by the sprocket 3. Specifications 424,331 and 568,732 also are referred to.
