Abstract
720,308. Earth-working apparatus. EUCLID ROAD MACHINERY CO. Feb. 27, 1952 [May 16, 1951], No. 5170/52. Class 68(1). The digging edge of an earth-working apparatus, such as a bowl type scraper, bulldozer or the like, comprises a rigid base 20 on which is located and secured a number of digging blades 25. One of the cutting edges 26, 27 of each blade is hardened to a wider zone than the other, and locating means, including holes 32, are spaced closer to one cutting edge than to the other. The blades are secured by bolts 33 to the base 20 which may have a continuous straight leading edge or a leading edge having forwardly projecting straight portions. Holes 31 formed in each section to permit of the passage therethrough of bolts 33 are parallel to and at the same distance from the leading edge of that section.
