Abstract

A sealing element for the central electrode bore of a sparking plug comprises an alloy of iron, nickel and cobalt in the proportions of 54 per cent. 29 per cent. and 17 per cent. respectively, by weight, the element having a co-efficient of expansion which is substantially the same as that of the ceramic plug insulator.
