Abstract
713,919. Trousers. ULIDIA CLOTHING CO., Ltd. Feb. 20, 1953 [Sept. 17, 1952], No. 23296/52. Class 141 A pair of trousers has the panels forming the top side and under side each formed in one piece extending from the bottom edge of the trouser legs to the top edge of the trousers at the waist, and by a pair of oppositely folded pleats at least in each panel of the top side, said pleats extending for a short distance downwards from the top edge of the garment and being apertured so as to form between each pair of pleats a concealed passage for a belt. As shown in Fig. 1, each of the panels 1, 2 of the top side has a front crease 5 terminating in a pleat 6 facing the front opening. 7 and extending up to the top edge 8. Each panel is also provided with a second pleat 9 folded in the opposite direction and slits 6A, 9A are provided in the inner folds of the pleats for a belt 10. In the under side panels 3, 4, Fig. 2, the usual pair of darts 11 may be provided with similar slits 12, the near portion 10A of the belt being elastic. The interior of the garment is provided with a narrow lining stitched to the upper edge beneath which are secured the hip and side pockets. In an alternative arrangement, pairs of pleats similar to the front pleats are provided in the rear of the garment.
