Abstract
712,013. Automatic exchange systems. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES. July 23, 1951 [Dec. 13, 1951], No. 18689/52. Class 40 (4) A selector giving access to outlet groups each characterized by one of a recurring series of pulses is stopped on a free outlet when the pulses on the outlet occur at the same timing as pulses received over a control switch. When a wanted outlet is reached pulses are simultaneously applied over wiper d of the selector UW and a control switch MW to the grids G1, G2 respectively of a tube Ro which, providing a potential indicating that the outlet is free is received over wiper c, fires. Relay P operates, stops the selector UW, short-circuits a high resistancewinding to busy the outlet and extinguishes the tube Ro. The selector UW is taken into use when the direct route is busy and gives access to alternative routes.
