Class 141 A soft double collar is provided with an inner lining extending over its whole length and provided with at least one stiffening insert consisting of a fabric containing threads of a cellulose derivative, the insert being stuck to the lining by pressure and heat. One piece of the insert material may extend over the whole length of the collar or a piece of insert material may be provided at each end. The insert material may be provided with scalloped or wavy cut edges.
