709,292. Suspending curtains. HARRISON (BIRMINGHAM), Ltd., and SAYER, A. L. Sept. 22, 1952 [Sept. 20, 1951], No. 22040/51. Class 52(5) A support for a curtain rod or other rails comprises an L-shaped base member 10 with turned over edges 13 to form channels 14 to receive flanges 21 on the rod supporting member 17 formed with a sleeve 18 to receive the rod. Both arms of the base member are provided with holes to permit face or end fixing. The flanges 21 are a tight sliding fit in the guideway. Alternatively the engaging faces of the base member and rod supporting member may be provided with co-operating projections and recesses for effecting a semipositive locking of these parts when in position.
