Abstract

709,235. Valve amplifying circuits. COMPAGNIE RADIO-CINEMA. Jan. 1, 1952 [Jan. 12, 1951], No. 97/52. Class 40 (6) In an amplifier having at least four stages and overall negative feedback, the H.T. supply is obtained from a stabilized source having a very low internal impedance (Fig. 2, not shown), the high voltage terminals of the anode decoupling capacitors 43, 44 of the first and second stages, and 47, 48 of the third and fourth stages are connected by resistors 42, 46 and the said terminals of the second and fourth stages are each connected to the H.T. supply through a further resistor 41, 45. This increases the stability of the amplifier. The screen grid voltages of the first three valves are derived from the anode decoupling points through potentiometer resistors having a low value compared with the dynamic impedance of the screen grid-cathode path of the valve.
