Class 29 An electrically driven ice-cream mixer 10 arranged within the cabinet externally of the refrigerating compartment 2 can be connected in at will to the coolant circuit of the refrigerator and includes a drive shaft 11 to which other domestic appliances such as a coffee mill, mincing machine or beating whisk may be coupled. The mixer is driven by a motor 9 in a compartment 4 above the machinery space 3 of the refrigerator, or may be driven through suitable gearing and a clutch from the motor of the refrigerator. The stirring blade is detachable from the shaft 11 so that the driving mechanism of the other appliances may be coupled to the shaft, the appliances being secured to the top 7 by a bayonet joint. A hinged cover plate 8 serves as a table top.
