706,833. Winding yarn. MASCHINEBAU- & GIESSEREI AKT.-GES. Oct. 13, 1952 [Oct. 11, 1951], No. 25596/52. Class 120(2) A machine for winding cross-wound bobbins 9, provided with a traverse mechanism comprising a slider-crank drive 12, 18 for the thread guide 10, is characterized in that the crank shaft 19 of the slider-crank drive 12, 18, is guided to slide in a straight line in the median plane of the bobbin, as by being carried in a slide 20 moving in guides 21, and is controlled by a crank 31 and connecting rod 30 having a stationary crankshaft 32, the crank 31 being coupled by a. pin 40 with a further crank 39 having a stationary crank shaft 38, the crank 39 being actuated by a connecting rod 42 moved by an eccentric 5 rotated by a worm and wormwheel 6, 4, the pin 40 sliding in a slot 44 longitudinally of the crank arm 31. The crank shaft 19 is. rotated by a crank 23 through a pin 24 sliding in a slot 26 in the wormwheel 4 The arrangement is such that the thread guide 10 is controlled by displacing the crank shaft 19 to overcome the dead points, at reversal, in an accelerated manner.
