706,265. Connecting structural members. DUCROX, R. Sept. 26, 1951 [Sept. 26, 1950], No. 22465/51. Class 20 (2) Parallel strip or channel members 4, 3 are connected together by an inclined tongue 11 on one member engaging with or through the other member, which tongue, when the members are moved relatively longitudinally, draws the members together. As shown the tongue 11 engages another tongue 12 on the other member 3. The channel 3 fits within the channel 4 and strips 1, 2 are welded to the channels which may also be connected by a rivet 21. In a modification, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), two strips are connected by tongues engaging apertures in the other strip.
