Abstract

704,961. Winch drums. BOYDELL & CO., Ltd., E. Nov. 12, 1951 [Nov. 10, 1950], No. 27473/50. Class 78 (5) Cable 13 is secured to a'winch drum by a pivoted anchorage 11. The anchorage is secured to flange 12 by washer 14 and locking ring fitted to groove 15, the cable passing by hole 11b through the anchorage and being secured by pin 16. Alternatively the anchorage may be rotatably mounted on a stud positioned on the flange and the cable may pass through a 'non-diametrical hole bored therethrough and be secured therein by a tapered end. Specification 579,553 is referred to.
