Abstract
703,280. Loom dobby. PROTOTYPA, NARODNI PODNIK. May 30, 1951 [May 30, 1950]. No. 12712/51. Addition to 658,983. Class 142(2) In a shedding motion, as described in the parent Specification, each cam disc is coupled, through the bar. to the main oscillating shaft 1 by a two-armed pivoted , lever 43, one arm 43<SP>1</SP> causing a spring- loaded pawl. 6 to engage the cam 3 and also forming an arcuate guide for the head of the pawl, the other arm 43<SP>11</SP> being swung by a cam which is synchronized with the slay movement, the arm 43" being locked by engagement with a pawl 44 when an electromagnet 10 is not energized. Each heald shaft is connected by links 2, 16 to a roller 4 raised and lowered by rotation of the corresponding cam 3. The engagement of the pawls 6 with the cams 3 is determined by a pattern card which interrupts the current to the electromagnet, and allows a locking bar 44 to drop and engage the end of the arm 43" and causes the tip of the arm 43<SP>1</SP> to engage a pawl 6 with the cam 3. The arm 43<SP>1</SP> of the lever 43 also releases a pawl 12 from a notch in one of the cams 3, the pawl, when engaged, preventing unintentional rotation of the cam 3. When the bar 7 next turns through 180 degrees, the cams engaged by pawls 6 are rotated to form the shed. The next shed is formed when the bar 7 returns to its initial position.
