702,817. Counting-apparatus. LUPI, D. March 24, 1952, No. 7561/52. Class 106 (1) A dial mechanism for volumetric liquid meters comprises a pointer moving clockwise over a fixed dial which is graduated say from 0 to 5 gallons each division being subdivided and a second dial movable behind the first co-axially with the pointer spindle and graduated in multiples of the highest graduation, of the first dial say in units of 5 gallons from 0 to 100, the graduations of the second dial moving one by one with each complete revolution of the pointer to be displayed through a window in the first dial. A pointer' 1 is rotated continuously by fuel delivery mechanism and indicates the volume delivered against a scale on a plate 3 graduated in units of <SP>1</SP>/ 5 litres up to five litres, the plate 3 having a window 10 in the zero position to expose one of the numbers disposed round the periphery of a plate 9 which is driven intermittently <SP>1</SP>/ 20 of a revolution upon completion of each revolution of the pointer 1 through Geneva type transfer mechanism including a grooved disc 4 with a single tooth 5, star wheel 6 and toothed wheels 7, 8, the latter fixed to a sleeve 8 co-axial with the shaft 2 of the pointer 1 and carried by the plate 9.
