Abstract

699,957. Moulds. OTTE, H. June 29, 1951 [June 30, 1950], No. 16359/50. Class 83 (i). [Also in Group V] A mould, for die or other casting, or for moulding interlinked chain links, of the type in which the mould is divided in two intersecting planes A, B which have their abutting faces shaped to mould said links, has two longitudinal channels 11, that for 'feeding material into the recesses 8 for alternate links formed in the abutting faces of the plane A being also formed in these faces, the same being true of the plane B and other link recesses 7. In the mould shown there are two planes B so as to mould two parallel lengths of chain connected by a link cast in mating recesses 18 which are formed in the abutting faces of the plane A. One end link may take the form of a hook 9. An ornament or other member may also be moulded on any link. The mould may be of metal and registered by dowel pins 10.
