Abstract

699,602. Combined bag and seat. GODDARD & CO., Ltd., F. Oct. 16, 1952 [July 24, 1952], No. 18789/52. Class 133 A haversack which may be used as a seat has an internal framework of frames 6 joined by angle irons 9, 10 and a strip 11 or (Fig. 2) U-frames 12 pivoted to irons 9, 10 and having stays 15, 16 so the frame may be collapsed. The haversack has a closure flap 26 with a pocket within which is a sheet 29 of plywood or other stiff material which rests on the framework when the haversack is is closed and forms the seat. The framework may be attached to the bottom of the haversack. Pockets 36, 37, 38, internal pocket 33, a loop 34 to receive a vacuum flask and a carrying sling 40 are provided.
