Abstract
695,008. Roller mills. BROBEIL, O. April 25, 1952 [March 14, 1952], No. 10455/52. Addition to 692.080. Class 59 In a roller mill of the kind having pairs of rollers disposed axially one behind the other and in which one roller of each pair is adjustable with respect to the other roller of the pair, the adjustable rollers 1, 2, 3 are mounted, on a common driving shaft 9, and are jointly adjustable to give a coarser-adjustment, while to give a fine adjustment, each adjustable roller is carried independently by two arms 5, 6 rockable about an axis 7, the arms being connected at their outer or free ends to .adjusting rods 12 each provided at its upper. end with an eye 15 which embraces one or other of rotatably-adjustable eccentric sleeves 16, 17 and 18 mounted on a common shaft 19. Each eccentric sleeve is turned by means of a toothed wheel 20 engaged by a manually-rotatable wheel or worm 21. To give a coarse adjustment, the shaft 19 is provided with an eccentric attachment 23 acted on'by a cam or lever. The adjustable rollers are coupled to the driving shaft 9 by means of drivers or dogs 10.
