Abstract
694,108. Load-handling machines. HURSTHOUSE, S. Sept. 18, 1950. [March 22, 1950] No. 7108/50. Class 78 (iii). In a rear discharge scoop arm loader having a tine frame A rigidly secured to the arms C, the ends of a spring loaded bar H engage the arms at the end of the lifting movement and assists the return over centre movement. Luffing is effected by a winch drum F which is driven from a power take off and has a brake band L for controlling the return movement of the arms. In a modification (not shown) the arms are operated by a hydraulic ram.
