Abstract

Non-conducting sheet material consisting of fabric, e.g cotton, or of paper or leather used, for example, in handling photographic film, is rendered capable of slowly dissipating charges of static electricity by impregnating with an aqueous solution of an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a condensation product of formaldehyde and a naphthalene sulphonic acid.
