Class 64 (iii) A plate heat-exchanger comprises spaced plates defining fluid-flow passages therebetween, all the plates being so corrugated transversely of the flow direction, that, when viewed in a direction parallel to the corrugations, flow spaces of triangular crosssection are formed between adjacent plates, said spaces communicating with one another through passages defined on one side by a flat wall and on the other side by a wall including a corrugation ridge. Bosses or small corrugations may be additionally formed in the plates to increase turbulence.
