Abstract

692,103. Holders for surgical instruments. CARSBERG, Ltd., G. Aug. 20, 1951 [Aug. 21, 1950], No. 20678/50. Class 81 (ii). A holder for surgical instruments comprises a casing 1 having one or more flat sides, a fluidtight lid 2 and an instrument rack which fits slidably within the casing 1 and may be detachably secured at right angles to a flat side of the casing. One side 4 of the rack is provided with keyhole slots 9 for engagement with studs 10 on the casing 1. The casing is provided with a cover 11 fitted with a tray 12 on which the rack rests after removal from the casing 1 which contains surgical spirit. A pad 15 of packing material e.g. india-rubber may be provided so that the casing 1 is fluid tight when the hinged lid 2 is clamped in position.
