Abstract

691,254. Display devices. CROSSMAN, W. H. Feb. 19, 1951. [March 21, 1950] No. 6950/50. Class 93. A display and decoration device made of stiff material, consists of a spine member having extending therefrom and along the length thereof a number of fins, the device when in use being freely suspended so as to be rotated by air currents. Referring to the drawing two layers of material 1 are laid one on the other and sewn along the centre at 2, parallel cuts being then made moving from the outer edges towards but not into the centre strip to form fins 4 and the unit twisted lengthwise into a number of turns of regular pitch. In modifications the centre strip may be offset, and the strip edges may be shaped e.g. by sinusoidal cutting. Specification 22179/04, [Class 93], is referred to.
