691,226. Reciprocating pumps. SCHLOSSHAUER. A. R., and REYNOLDS. E. SCHLOSSHAUER-. (trading as HELIOSAPPARATE WETZEL & SCHLOSSHAUER). March 30, 1951 [Sept. 30, 1950]. No. 7426/51. Class 102 (i). A pump for attachment to a cask or container comprises a cover plate 1 from which depends a tube 6 carrying a pump 7 at its lower end. The pump as shown comprises two parallel cylinders 13, 14 the pistons 20, 21 being reciprocated by a cam 24 on a shaft 16 driven by a motor 17. The pistons control suction ports and delivery ports 27, 28 are alternately connected to the outlet pipe 32 bv a freely movable piston valve 33. Supported by the cover plate and bosses 9 on the pump is a tube 35 that is rotated from the shaft 16 by pinions 42. 41, and carries vanes 43 that sweep the liquid towards the pump. In addition the tube also carries arms 44 that are connected to the vanes 43 by wires 45 which cut the liquid, e.g., grease, from the walls of the container.
