A bell-shaped washing-dolly comprises inner and outer bells 1, 2 enclosing a space 3 which narrows towards the top whereby upon immersion in washing lye air pressure in the annular chamber becomes higher than that inside the dolly and turbulence is promoted by air passing through perforations 5. This pressure difference and turbulence are increased by making the total area of the perforations 5 less than that of the lower perforations 7.
