Abstract

688,879. Lasts. CRAECKER, A. K. DE. April 16, 1951 [April 20, 1950], No. 8838/51. Class 17 (i). [Also in Group XI] A last extendable lengthwise comprises two parts 1, 2 connected by a plate 4 having a dovetail slot 5 in which the head 6 of a screw 7 slides. A rod 9 is attached at 8 to the part 1 and extends through the part 2 to nuts 11. A spring 10 keeps the parts normally extended. For use as a vulcanizing last it is heated by elements 16, 17 which are connected to terminals 12, 13 and to the parts 1, 2 which are of metal.
