687,225. Discharge apparatus. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Feb. 6, 1951, No. 2894/51. Class 39(i) The getter holder 9 in an electric discharge device is secured between two support rods 4 to which an electrode 8 is also secured, thus completing a closed circuit for eddy current heating. The construction is especially useful for' very small tubes such as the sub-miniature diode shown, which is 5 mm. in diameter.
