Abstract
686,513. Cans for electric incandescent lamps. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. June 27, 1951 [July 1, 1950], No. 15245/51. Class 39(ii) [Also in Group XXXVI] A lamp cap comprises a cup-shaped insulating member 29 having spaced apertures 32 adapted to pass parallel prong contacts 23 extending from the lamp envelope 2, the contacts having bent-over portions 27 forming spring arms which snap over the outer face of member 29 and hold it in place on the lamp. The contacts are soldered to ferrules 16 sealed to the envelope 2. The lamp may be of the type described in Specification 515,091. Specifications 471,301, [Group XXXVI], and 558,532 also are referred to.
