Abstract
684,876. Treating generative organs. POUSSIER, F. Aug. 15, 1950 [Aug. 24, 1949; June 29, 1950], No. 20252/50. Class 81 (ii). An apparatus for furthering natural insemination comprises a funnel-shaped member, Fig. 1, the terminal or outlet section 7 of which is adapted to engage the channel in the cervix uteri, the said section co-operating with an input section 1 which is thin and yielding and is adapted to line the mucous membrane of the vagina and of the vulva. The sections 1 and 7 are interconnected through an intermediary rigid or semi-rigid section 3 which mates with the pocket of the vagina and the outside of the cervix uteri and has the internal shape of a cup, so as to present no depressions which might retain the semen. A mandrel 8, Fig. 2, for use with the device serves to deliver semen through the section 7 and is mounted inside a tube 12 to which are attached scraper discs 9, 10 which engage the walls of the portion 1.
