684,557. Stop-motions for Axminster looms. PLATT BROS. & CO., Ltd., BASSINDALE, I. B., and SCHOFIELD, F. B. March 17, 1950 [March 17, 1949], No. 7253/49. Class 142(i) If a tube frame falls from the carrier chain at a position over the transfer arms 11, Fig. 1, it is caught by insulated plates 21 or 25; if it falls nearer the front of the loom, it is caught by fingers 30, Fig. 3, on arms 28 which swing periodically to clear the path of the transfer arms. In either case, the fallen tube frame also touches an uninsulated part of the loom, thereby closing a stop motion circuit as described in Specification 684,558.
