Abstract
684,050. Magnetrons. COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE TELEGRAPHIE SANS FIL. July 11, 1950 [July 20, 1949], No. 17312/50. Class 39(i) In a cavity magnetron having anodic cavities in an anodic cylinder 1, the cavities being connected together with strap 4 ... 7 and the magnetron being tuned by plungers 11 mounted on a movable disc 12 the plungers are constructed so as to bear against the surfaces of the straps or Fig. 5a, b (not shown), against the outer periphery of the anodic block, thereby eliminating frequency variations due to shock. A plunger is provided for each cavity and the profile of the plunger may be chosen so as to give a predetermined variation of frequency with depth of plunger, Figs. 2-8 (not shown).
