683,970. Inflating valves. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd. April 11, 1951 [April 29, 1950], No. 10595/50. Class 135. An inflating valve for a dual chamber, pneumatic inner tube comprises a casing 2 with passages 6, 7 communicating respectively with the outer and inner chambers of the tube, and a housing 3 which carries the usual non-return valve and is detachably secured to the casing 2 by a nut 12 which may be slackened to withdraw a sealing washer 15 from the end of the passage 6 to enable the two chambers to be inflated simultaneously. A restricted passage 18 between the passages 6, 7 permits the inner chamber to deflate gradually in the event of the outer chamber being punctured.
