Abstract

680,832. Reciprocating pumps. PAINTER, A. S. J., and HOWARD, Ltd., E. R. March 20, 1951 [March 10, 1950], No. 6048/50. Class 102 (i) [Also in Group XXIX] A manually-operable spring-loaded tubular plunger 15, Fig. 2, within a barrel 1 secured to a liquid container by a ring 21, has a hollow spray head 25 housing a nozzle disc 29. The device includes a spring 10 and one-way ball valves 12, 18, and the reciprocation of the plunger effects a spray discharge from an outlet 35 in the disc. The outlet is centrally positioned in the disc, and is fed with liquid from tangential passages 36 formed by grooves in the disc rear wall. and the grooves are fed from an orifice 30 and a circular groove 31 in the spray head.
