Abstract

677,817. Nail files. ZIELE, H. L. Nov. 14, 1949 [Dec. 15, 1948], No. 29066/49. Class 81 (ii). A nail file comprises a strip of rectangular crosssection with an abrasive area (or areas) located in a channel (or channels) formed on one (or both) narrow edge (or edges) of the rectangle. As shown the channels 15 accommodate file surfaces 10 which are flanked at each edge by a protective edging strip 11. The file may be of metal or plastic and one or more of the side faces 17 may be treated so as to form file surfaces which may be edged with plain edging strips 11 (not shown). A further embodiment is shown in Fig. 4.
