Abstract
677,200. Casting processes. CADIC COMPANIA AMERICANA DE DESARROLLO INDUSTRIAL Y COMERCIAL. Aug. 1, 1950 [Aug. 4, 1949], No. 19206/50. Class 83 (i). [Also in Group V] Castings of metal or salts are produced with a crypto-crystalline structure by subjecting the material, before or during or before and during cooling, to the continuous or intermittent influence of an electromagnetic field having a frequency of between 300-6000 per second (Hertz), but without discernable heating effect. The material may be liquid or pasty during treatment which is stated to improve mechanical resistance. The mould or vessel containing the material is placed in the field and may be earthed. In a modification the material may be arranged as part of a condenser connected in the circuit of a generator.
