Abstract
675,059. Thread guides for spinning- machines. AKT.-GES. J. J. RIETER & CIE. May 2, 1950 [May 3, 1949], No. 10832/50. Addition to 674,538. Class 120(ii) The supporting device for the thread guides of spinning frames disclosed in the parent Specification is modified by providing the shaft at the headstock, with which the supporting members are associated by means of chains, with a bushing 21 slidable on the shaft 12 and having an inclined face 20 co-acting with an abutment 19 on the shaft 12, so that longitudinal movement of the bushing 21 will rotate the shaft 12 and alter the initial position of the thread guides. Longitudinal movement of the bushing 21 is obtained by rotating a nut 22 on a screwed portion 12<SP>1</SP> of the shaft 12. A roller 13 on the bushing 21 is connected to a further roller 15 by a chain 14, which transmits the driving motion for the raising of the thread guides as the cops are being built.
