Abstract

672,953. Variable-pitch propellers. ROTOL, Ltd. Sept. 18, 1950 [Aug. 8, 1949], No. 20630/49. Class 114. Stops 20 are held in operative position to limit movement of the piston 17 by a spring loaded piston 24. They are released by supplying hydraulic fluid to the left hand face of the piston 24 from the operating pump controlled directly by a valve, but not passing through the normal constant speed unit of the propeller. This control valve can be operated electrically from the engine throttle, or separately.
