Abstract
670,949. Rotary pumps and engines. TAYLOR, F. W. May 20, 1950, No. 18189/50. Class 110(ii) To vary the eccentricity between a rotor 4 and a stator 2, the latter is moved laterally, e.g. by fluid under pressure acting on one of the pistons 22, the stator being supported on bushes 13 which are slidable in recesses 20. To balance the turning moment on the stator, due to pressure difference at the inlet and outlet ports 16, 17, ducts 24, 25 are provided, leading fluid from these ports to the recesses 20, 21. The fluid pressures act on the stator ends to exert a balancing moment. Specifications 629,038 and 670,948 are referred to.
