Abstract

670,810. Compressed air brake systems. KLAUS, K. Oct. 7, 1949 [Oct. 1; 1948; Jan. 13, 1949], Nos. 25765/49 and 25766/49. Class 103 (i). [Also in Group XXVIII] In a compressed air operated vehicle braking system comprising front and rear axle supply pipes 27, 28 and a reservoir 26, the latter is charged from a compressor on a tractor (not shown) through a pipe 37. Succeeding trailer reservoirs are charged through a pipe 29. An overpressure valve 30 allows air to pass from the braking reservoir providing the pressure therein is above a predetermined limit through a duct 31 to reservoirs 32 supplying a pneumatic tipping jack 35 (see Group XXVIII). Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 637,532.
