670,571. Velocity-modulated tubes. LELAND STANFORD JUNIOR UNIVERSITY, BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF. Nov. 12, 1941 [Nov. 20, 1940], No. 17991/47. Divided out of 670,551. Class 39 (i). [Also in Group XXXV] In a fixed-frequency-difference stabilization system (.see Group XXXV) one of the velocitymodulated oscillators 1 has a third or " buffer " resonator 8 from which its output is taken. It is thus secured that any tuning variations in frequency in the other oscillator 2 do not affect the frequency of oscillator 1, since the buffer resonator is not connected to the oscillating resonators 5, 6 otherwise than through the electron stream. Specifications 523,712 and 670,551, [Group XL(c)], are referred to.
