Abstract

670,363. Frequency dividing circuits. BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION, and FITZGERALD, J. A. July 14, 1950 [July 29, 1949], No. 20026/49. Class 40 (vi). A rectifier bridge 14 in the input circuit of a valve 10 is rendered conducting and non- conducting during alternate half-cycles by energy derived from the output circuit 11, tuned to a subharmonic of the applied frequency. Integral multiples of this frequency may be derived from a tuned circuit in the screen grid lead. Resistors 31, 32 prevent excessive damping of the tuned circuit 11 and the input circuit, while resistor 33 prevents parasitic oscillation.
