Abstract

669,685. Skirt hangers. SALAMAN, G. Oct. 13, 1950. [Dec. 8, 1949] No. 31547/49. Class 52 (v). A skirt hanger comprises a tubular bar 1 and two telescopic end members 2 urged outwardly by springs 11, abutting a hook 10 and a pin 12, mounted on the outer end of a rod 13 slidable within the spring 11. By altering the position of the pin 12, in a shaped slot 14 in the member 2, the spring pressure applied to the end member can be varied allowing different sized skirts to be suspended. Depending lugs 16 on the bar 1 retain the extensions in position. Fingerengaging lugs 5 facilitate retraction of the end members.
