Abstract
668,256. Cathode-ray tubes. COMPAGNIE POUR LA FABRICATION DES COMPTEURS ET MATERIEL D'USINES A GAZ. Oct. 13, 1950 [Oct. 13, 1949], No. 25023/50. Drawings to Specification. Class 39 (i). [Also in Group XL (c)] A storage tube for storing information obtained during one exploring cycle of a radar equipment so that the information may subsequently be used in the cancellation of permanent echoes (see Group XL (c)) includes a storage electrode comprising a metal plate covered with a layer of silica or magnesium fluoride having a thickness of about 0.5 microns. The information to be stored is laid down on this electrode by scanning it with a modulated cathode-ray beam given an acceleration of 10,000 volts and may subsequently be read off with a beam given an accleration of 1,000 volts. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 604,673, [Group XL (c)].
