667,711. Studs for footwear. ROWE, C. E. Jan. 18, 1950 [March 11, 1949], No. 1358/50. Class 17 (iii). One or more studs 2 for the soles and heels of football boots and the like are attached to a thin flexible base plate 3 adapted to be secured by nails &c. through holes 6 snugly against the sole or heel. The sole and heel may each carry one or a number of such plates 3 and the studs 2 carry collars 2a and tubular extensions 2b which pass through holes in the plate and are clenched over on the inside to lie in hollow humps 5 on the plates.
