Abstract

667,360. Automatic regulation. KANDIAH, K., GOULDING, F. S., and PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. June 20, 1950, No. 15392/50. Class 38 (iv). In a circuit for stabilizing the alternating voltage input to a transformer 14 from variable voltage A.C. mains 1, 2 in which a series resistance 3 is associated with reversely connected gas discharge tubes 4 and 7, the voltage is maintained between closer limits by reotifiers 5 and 8 connected in series with the discharge tubes to prevent reverse current. A small D.C. output at stable voltage is thus available through rectifiers 16, 17, 18, 19 at terminals 21, 22.
