Abstract
667,295. Protective gloves. SCHOLAR, H. I. April 16, 1949 [March 21, 1949], No. 7568/49. Class 141. A glove affording protection against X-rays comprises an inner glove a, preferably of rubber, and a lead covering in the form of a thin lead strip b wound round the thumb, fingers and hand with suitable edge overlays and secured to the inner glove by means of adhesive. The finger tips may be left free or the lead strip may be lapped back and forth over them at b<SP>1</SP>. Rubber cement may be used to secure the strips to the inner glove and to an outer rubber glove d, and to seal the wrist part e. Additional pieces of lead c may be located at the finger crutches.
