Abstract

666,041. Powder-puffs. MURPHY, J. J. Dec. 21, 1949. [Ang. 31, 1949] No. 22572/49. Class 131. In making a powder puff two pieces of material are stitched together, almost completely round the periphery, with their nap surfaces inside, turned nap side out, and, after stuffing, the opening is closed by applying adhesive to the inturned edges of the unstitched part. As shown, two circles 1 of suitable material are stitched together at 3, a piece of ribbon 2 to form a holder, lying between them across a diameter. The puff is turned right side out, stuffed, and adhesive applied to the inturned edges of the part 4 which are pressed together with the free end of the ribbon tucked between them.
